Abstract: The 14 selected papers in this special issue were presented in the 7th International Conference on Applied Geophysics (Geophysics 2016) during 14-15 January 2016 at the Miracle Grand Convention Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.  The conference was jointly organized by the Department of Earth Sciences, Faculty of Science, Kasetsart University, and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in collaboration with Chiang Mai University, Prince of Songkla University, Mahidol University, Department of Mineral Resources, Department of Groundwater Resources, Department of Mineral Fuels, Department of Royal Irrigation, the Geological Society of Thailand, and the Coordinating Committee for Geoscience Programmes in East and South-East Asia (CCOP).
