Abstract: Lactarius pseudoaurantiozonatus, belonging to Lactarius subg. Lactarius, is proposed as a new species from Anhui Province, China based on detailed morphology and molecular analyses (nrITS) region. Lactarius pseudoaurantiozonatus, is characterized by a pale yellow to orange-yellow, zonate pileus, subglobose to broadly ellipsoid basidiospores which measure 5.5–7.9 × 4.5–6.5 μm, white latex which quickly turns olive-yellow, indistinct odor and burning-acrid taste. |
