Abstract: This paper deals with two new species of Phaeosaccardinula collected in Yunnan Province of China. Phaeosaccardinula multiseptata and P. dendrocalami are introduced as new species, based onmorphology and molecular data and are compared with related taxa. Descriptions, illustrations and notes are provided for each species. A phylogenetic tree based on analysis of ITS and LSU sequence data show the species to cluster in Phaeosaccardinula (Chaetothyriaceae) as two distinct clusters. Morphology and analysisof ITS, LSU and EF1a gene data indicate several differences between P. ficus and P. multiseptata in the first cluster, while the second cluster represents the new species P. dendrocalami. Previously, sequence data (ITS and LSU) were only available for Phaeosaccardinula species, this paper provides new sequence data for ITS, LSU, EF1a and RPB2 genes. |
