Abstract: Simplex optimization method is used for optimization of the polarographic signal (Ip). This signal is very sensitive to a set of adjustable transient parameters of polarographic technique, such as tmeas, tpulse and tstep, which are defined as simplex parameters. The procedure for simplex optimization is illustrated by employing a triangular diagram of the normalized t-parameters. By this optimization method, the differential pulse polarographic current of a mixture of dioxovanadium (V)(VO2+) and oxovanadium (IV) (VO2+) cations in sulfuric acid was enhanced about 3 times, while maintaining good linearity of the calibration curve.
