Abstract: Dendrite Cu2Sb powders, anode materials for lithium-ion batteries, were successfully synthesized by redox reaction between metal chloride salts and metallic reducing agent at ambient temperature. This experiment reports on the consequence of processing parameters, i.e. size of reducing agent particle and reaction temperature, to the formation of dendrite Cu2Sb powder. The results from XRD, SEM, and TEM techniques suggest that high purity dendrite Cu2Sb powder can be synthesized in ethylene glycol either by using zinc powder reducing agent having 10 µm particle size at any temperature or at 50°C reaction temperature with any reducing agent particle size.
