Abstract:
A study has been carried out on the coupling of a dual waveguide with Kerr – like medium in five – layer planar structure. The previous result obtained in terms of analytic solutions of the individual guides is examined numerically on the basis of established numerical program of finite difference beam propagation method. It is shown that the inclusion of guide width b’s in the analytic solution for the mode field is numerically varied for the proper description of the coupling behaviors for different of configurations.
