Abstract
Toxic effects of organochlorine pesticide, DDT on the liver of Apocryptes bato have been studied under chronic (sub-lethal) exposure in the laboratory. The major changes in the liver cell due to sub-lethal exposure of DDT were cytoplasmic vacuolation and degeneration of raticular tissue with scattered distribution of parenchymatous cells. The cells were severely damaged at the sites of heavy vascularisation.
