Abstract

In this paper, we give some new results on parallel synchronous alternating iterative methods for solving the system of linear equations . Firstly, we give two convergence theorems when the coefficient matrix is a nonsingular H-matrix by using an H-compatible multisplitting. Secondly, we give some comparison theorems of the spectral radius of the iterative matrix when the coefficient matrix is a monotone matrix and give two examples to show our results.

Keywords: parallel synchronous alternating method, -matrix;H-compatible multisplitting, monotone matrix, weak nonnegative of the first type, weak nonnegative of the second type
