Abstract
A perovskite-like phase of lead titanate, PbTiO3 , nano-powders has been synthesized by a solid-state reaction via a rapid vibro-milling technique. Phase formation of calcined powders has been investigated as a function of milling times and calcination conditions by XRD technique. The particle size distribution of the powders was determined by a laser diffraction technique. Moreover, the morphology was examined via SEM technique. It has been found that singlephase PbTiO3 nano-sized powders were successfully obtained for calcination condition of 600๐C for 2 h with heating/cooling rates of 5๐C.min-1 when the milling time was more than 1 h.
