OBITUARY: Professor Dr. Rattikorn Yimnirun (Editorial Board, Chiang Mai Journal of Science)

     It is with great sadness that we report the passing away on Sunday 9 February 2025 of Professor Dr. Rattikorn Yimnirun, a long-standing member of the Editorial Board of the Chiang Mai Journal of Science. Prior to his latest appointment in 2017 as Professor of Materials Science at the Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology (VISTEC), he had been a Lecturer, Assistant Professor and then Associate Professor of Materials Science at Chiang Mai University (2001-2009) before moving to Suranaree University of Technology as an Associate Professor of Materials Science (2009-2017). Throughout the past 20 years, Professor Rattikorn was a staunch supporter of the Chiang Mai Journal of Science and a valuable contributor in helping the Journal attain its current status. On this sad occasion, the Editorial Board join in sending their sincere condolences to Professor Rattikorn’s family on their tragic loss.
